2025 March Break Camp - Job Opportunity
We are seeking two energetic, experienced theatre enthusiasts to serve as camp counsellors for our 2025 March Break theatre camp. Camp staff will serve as positive role models for camp participants. The ideal candidates will have both theatre experience and experience working with children. Camp experience is desired but not mandatory. Both are paid positions. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

- Recognizes the uniqueness and interests of all children and youth and helps them to successfully achieve their goals at camp.
- Models proper behaviour in all interactions with camp participants, other camp staff and the public, ensuring behaviour always aligns with SVTC core values.
- Accesses program resources and seeks support from the Camp Director to ensure the delivery of a wide range of age-appropriate programs for camp participants.
- Ensures all communication with co-workers, families, other SVTC staff and the public is always professional and courteous.
- Ensures family inquiries and concerns are shared with the Camp Director.
- Demonstrates the ability to support and deal with sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism.
- Responsible for keeping attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills/Competencies: An ideal candidate will have experience working with youth in an arts education environment as well as camp experience. They will have the skills to supervise and mentor camp participants. They will be able to provide detailed and meaningful performing arts-based programming.
